Rhaenyra thinks she’s immune to the dragons’ emotional baggage, but with her actions and dragons involved, it’s clear they’ve done some serious altering.
Absolute Power, Absolutely Chaotic
As they say, absolute power corrupts absolutely, and in Westeros, nothing’s more powerful than a dragon. Yet, there’s a twist: dragons don’t do what you want! Aegon Targaryen, our favorite hot mess, is finally stepping up. Or is he? His journey isn’t about learning empathy. Nah. It’s about understanding the pecking order – and not the fun kind. This guy was dragged back to the throne kicking and screaming, and even now, it seems more about dragon rides than wisdom. But hey, he finally found his voice right before Sunfyre showed up to cause mayhem.

Oh, Aegon, you might feel invincible on your dragon, but let’s be honest: nobody really knows what goes through a dragon’s mind. Sunfyre schools Aegon on the power of their bond, but at the end of the day, Aegon’s bravado means nothing if Sunfyre decides it’s snack time.

This episode, while powered by fiery moments, sometimes felt like it was crawling along like a dragon waking down a lazy river. The dialogue was filled with the usual cliches and predictable moments, making parts feel drawn out. The show hasn’t quite found its groove this season.
