Hold onto your garlic, folks, because the vampire world is about to get a whole lot cooler! Lestat is back and he’s ready to rock! After a title switcheroo, the third season of Interview with the Vampire has decided to don a new shirt and is now going by The Vampire Lestat, in honor of Anne Rice’s second book. The trailer just dropped, and if it’s any indication, we’re in for a wild, blood-pumping ride!

Meet Sam Reid: The Glamorous Rock Star!

Star Sam Reid is stepping into the limelight, channeling some serious David Bowie vibes in a dazzling display that is nothing short of fabulous. Unlike the more serious and brooding Louis from the previous seasons, Lestat is serving up a feast of flamboyant colors, stylized visuals, and a soundtrack that’ll make you want to dance with the undead! And guess what? Sam himself sings a killer cover of Billy Idol’s “Dancing with Myself.” It’s the perfect anthem for our favorite vampire’s solo adventure trying to set the record straight!

All That Glitters is Not Gold

This trailer may shine like a disco ball, but behind the flashing lights and funky outfits lurks a dark and tangled history. Lestat is about to introduce us to a whole cast of characters who’ve shaped his life, including Gabrielle, Magnus, Marius, and more! Buckle up, because this ride isn’t just about living it up on stage; it’s filled with backstories that’ll send shivers down your spine!

What’s in the Trailer?

While most of the footage feels like a glam rock concert, it teases a bit of backstory that we can’t ignore. There are winks at Lestat’s origins, like a glimpse of him in 18th-century France (all dapper and debonair) and his abduction by Magnus. Oh, and let’s not forget Baby Jenks making an appearance in present-day! The trailer even teases a complicated hug-fest with Lestat and his mother, Gabrielle, who has a love-hate relationship with her boy.

Complicated Family Ties

In the original novel, Gabrielle has a soft spot for Lestat, believing him to be the star child. She helps him escape to Paris and, spoiler alert, he turns her into a vampire when she’s on her deathbed! Their relationship is *quite* the scandal (and book-accurate)! The trailer hints at some possibly steamy moments between them, which could really up the ante considering the show’s rules about vampire relations!
