The Gilded Age: More Fun Awaits in Season 4!

Buckle Up for More Gilded Glamor!

Unlike its polished British cousin, Downton Abbey, The Gilded Age takes a sassy jab at its upper-crust characters. Meet George and Bertha Russell (Morgan Spector and Carrie Coon), the kind of people who throw money around like confetti while trying to elbow their way into the elite circles of 1880s New York. But fear not, their antics are more than just a money-spending spree. Creator Julian Fellowes gives us a peek into their hilariously flawed humanity, and thank goodness for Mrs. Mamie Fish, brought to life by Ashlie Atkinson, who steals the spotlight with charm and mischief!

Mrs. Fish Is Back and Better than Ever!

Fans of Mrs. Fish, rejoice! Season 4 promises to be a blast since Atkinson is now officially a regular cast member. That means more of her giggles and eye-rolls at the ridiculousness of the rich. And trust me, these high-society shenanigans are about to hit a new high (or low, depending on your perspective)!

Drama? Oh, You Bet!

In case you missed it, season 3 ended with quite the bang! George learned that karma’s a tricky little thing when a clerk decided to play target practice on him. Lucky for him, Dr. Kirkland was there to save the day—or at least his behind! But all this drama didn’t exactly sweeten his mood regarding Bertha’s slippery maneuvers involving poor Larry and Gladys. In a shocking twist, he ended the season by dropping the ‘D’ word—divorce! Talk about a social faux pas in their world!

Romance Under Pressure

Meanwhile, Dr. Kirkland, who never backs down from a challenge, popped the big question to Peggy despite his snooty mother’s protests. And oh, let’s not forget Oscar van Rhijn (Blake Ritson) and his faux marriage with the scheming widow, Mrs. Winterton (Kelley Curran). Honestly, if there’s one thing rich people know how to do, it’s drama—and lots of it!

New Faces, Same Old Shenanigans

As if things weren’t spicy enough, season 4 is bringing in some fabulous new characters! Look out for the notorious John D. Rockefeller, played by Neal Huff, and Fiona Summers from the Astor family, lurking in the corners and stirring up trouble. Plus, the legendary Dennis Haysbert will pop in as Dr. Kirkland’s wise mentor. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, right?

Let the Gossip Flow!

With all this chaos brewing, the upcoming season is bound to leave us with plenty to chatter about. From outrageous behavior to Mrs. Fish’s fabulous commentary, we’ll be gasping and laughing in equal measure. Tune in for more of the delightful absurdity that is The Gilded Age—where the rich are ridiculous, and the laughs are plentiful!
