Myers chimed in, saying that while season 4 will stay true to its zany roots, it will also aim for something fresh. “We’re treating this like it could be our last chance to dazzle and delight,” he said. Soon enough, Captain Pike will experience some life-altering burns, and Spock’s love life will fade into the background like a poorly executed special effect.
