Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 1 Easter Eggs Revealed!

August 22, 2025

Welcome to the Madness! 🚀

Alright folks, grab your popcorn and get ready for a wild ride because we’re diving into the easter eggs from the epic second season premiere of Peacemaker. Spoiler alert: if you haven’t seen it yet, you’ll want to hit the brakes right now!

The Krank-y Beginning

Remember that ridiculously showcased canon from last season? Well, buckle up, because it all kicks off when our guy Chris (played by the one and only John Cena) struts into an old Krank Toys store for a not-so-great interview with the Justice Gang. And no, it’s not as fun as a trip to the toy aisle during Christmas.

Now, please note that Krank Toys has a little history in the DC world, particularly in the animated series where Cosmo Krank, a version of the Toyman, was all about revenge after his company got the ax—talk about some serious toy drama! And if you squint hard enough at the background, you might spot this toy shop in the video games Batman: Arkham City and Arkham Knight. Toys may break, but easter eggs certainly won’t!

What’s Up With the Bunny? 🐇

As Chris strolls past the toy section, he spots a sobbing woman decked out in a bunny costume. Speculations are swirling that it’s a throwback to the 1960s comic character Dumb Bunny. But surprise! It’s actually White Rabbit, a not-so-well-known villain from 2011 who has a knack for drama and splitting into two-persons. Just your average day in a superhero universe!

Jokes and the Joker

Later on, we catch up with Harcourt after an *ahem* invigorating therapy sesh. She’s a bit peeved and venting her frustration on her car’s dashboard—classic therapy move, right? Chris jumps in to lighten the mood with a quip about their car playing some Thirty Seconds to Mars, and boy does Harcourt have some thoughts! Who knew rock bands could stir such passionate feelings?

For extra fun, Thirty Seconds to Mars is fronted by Jared Leto, who played the Joker in Suicide Squad. The jokes practically write themselves as Harcourt and Chris share a laugh—looks like Leto’s Joker won’t be making a comeback in this universe anytime soon!

Quantum Shenanigans

Now here comes the good stuff! Chris hops into the Quantum Folding Chamber, a nifty little plot device that allows him to bounce between realities. This tech has been around since Season 1, but let’s be real—it’s way more fun watching it all unfold. Lex Luthor gets his hands on this tech in Superman, and let’s face it, when has that ever ended well?

Is This Thing a Martian? 👽

Inside the chamber, Chris encounters a big ol’ white alien who is clearly having a bad day (because who wouldn’t when you’re incinerating kittens?!) There’s buzz about this creature being a white Martian. But I mean, it’s also referred to as “Kyphotic Alien”—so maybe it’s just some funky design choice by Gunn. There’s always room for weirdness!

Alternate Realities, Anyone?

When Chris pops out on the other side, he lands in an alternate universe where his dad is actually nice, and his brother is still kicking! This trio considers themselves the Top Trio—sounds oddly familiar, doesn’t it?

Speaking of familiar, they’ve had some adventures that sound like they came straight out of a DC comic—like battling the Rainbow Creature! And they’ve even gone up against the Ultra-Humanite, the first real supervillain in the DC Universe. Talk about some serious comic book cred!

Witty Conversations and Easter Eggs Galore! 🎉

While exchanging drinks, our trio shares hilarious tales of Imps causing chaos in the background—definitely a nod to DC’s wild charm. And the references to Evergreen and Blüdhaven—woo, those are some deep dives! You’ve got Dick Grayson’s hangout, and the lowdown on where all the rogue baddies get tossed. Arkham Asylum? Oh, you know they’ll be back…because who doesn’t love a ghastly repeat?

Making Connections

Lastly, while we see some of the DCU brought to life, our buddy Clevis Thornthwaite from The Sphere drops references to Belle Reve and Arkham, setting off alarms for us comic book lovers. This blend of new and classic? Pure gold!

So there you have it—season 2 of Peacemaker is off to a hilariously chaotic start filled with Easter eggs galore! Tune in every Thursday at 9 PM EST on HBO Max for more madcap adventures!
