Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, fresh off his ventures in Aquaman, jumped at the chance to join the Marvel family. He was initially apprehensive about taking on the role of Simon Williams until he had a heart-to-heart with Marvel bigwig Kevin Feige. Apparently, he asked Feige something along the lines of, “Is this role worth my time?” And Feige said, “Trust me, it’ll be worth every Marvel buck—and boy, was he right!” Now, Yahya’s balancing superhero antics with those good old relatable human problems. Simon is an unconventional hero focused much more on making his Hollywood dreams come true than flexing his superpowers. During the first season, our lovable hero teams up with the washed-up Trevor Slattery, played by none other than Sir Ben Kingsley. Talk about an unexpected duo!
