Guzmán admits, “We were too poor back then,” while chatting about his childhood gaming experience—or lack thereof. Although he never got to game it up himself, he was the ultimate spectator. “My kids played the games, but I was just a lucky audience member. I’d watch them master the controllers, and when they’d leave, I’d try my hand at it. But really, my knowledge of the Super Mario world comes straight from their mini-gaming sessions!”
