From Time Capsules to Time Gaps

Sophie described her moment of bewilderment when she left the show. “No one warned me about the time warp that Outlander created,” she said. Imagine hopping out of a time machine only to discover that your friends have all leveled up in real life—new jobs, marriages, mini-me’s running around. She thought she was returning to her old London crowd only to find out everyone was busy being adults while she was busy wielding swords and pretending to be centuries away in Scotland.

Meanwhile, Richard chimed in with his own mind-blowing experience. “It feels like the last nine years flew past in the blink of an eye. One second I’m filming, and the next, I’m scrolling through social media, being hit with nostalgia bombs that remind me of those ‘remember when’ moments—only to realize they were seven years ago. Yikes!” So yeah, talk about a reality check!

Exploring the Past

Both cast members had to get their historical hats on to prepare for their roles in Outlander. They hit up some epic historical spots, like the Wardlaw Mausoleum and the fields of Culloden, channeling their inner history buffs. Sophie even shared a hilarious encounter at a local bookstore during one of their outings.
