But alas, Butcher wanted more than just a dramatic showdown—he was here for a righteous cause! Armed with a Supe-killing virus and his usual unhinged attitude, he made the wrong choice to load it into the Vought sprinkler system.

Brotherly Love

Enter Hughie, who wasn’t about to watch Starlight, Kimiko, or any more Supes bite the dust for Butcher’s personal vendetta. So, like any good friend, he tracked Butcher down and confronted him. You could practically hear the drama unfolding as Butcher, caught between his blood-sworn vengeance and a flicker of humanity when he saw Hughie’s earnest expression, hesitated long enough for Hughie to save the day—by shooting him. Who knew saving someone could be so fatal?

Baddies Gonna Fall

Aside from the grand finale showdown with Homelander, we saw a few other familiar villains take their final curtain calls. Yep, The Deep and Oh-Father also met their fate, while Ashley decided it was time to rebel. And let’s not kid ourselves; Soldier Boy is still napping in his cryo-chamber. Meanwhile, Hughie, Annie, and Mother’s Milk seemed to find their happy endings, but our girl Kimiko? She’s off to France after a heartbreaking farewell to Frenchie. Talk about a tearjerker!
