EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PREVIEW: Dark Matter Season 2 Fan Screening, Special Giveaway

July 18, 2026

Get Ready for More Dark Matter!

Hey there, fellow space-time adventurers! Buckle up and prepare for a wild ride because it’s been over two years since we last saw the crew of Dark Matter. Remember that bizarre cliffhanger at the end of season one? Were Jason and his fam safe, or were they just playing a cosmic game of hide and seek with danger? Are they alive? Are they dead? Who knows! But guess what? We’re about to get some answers!

Exclusive Fan Screening at Comic-Con!

Get your calendars out because on July 24, Comic-Con 2026 is going to host a fancy fan screening of the first episode of Dark Matter Season 2. Swing by Convention Center Room 6DE at 10 p.m. PST, and be one of the first to dive back into the chaos that was left in the aftermath of season one. Totally worth it, right?

What’s the Show About?

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Dark Matter revolves around our buddy, physics professor Jason Dessen (played by the awesome Joel Edgerton). Kidnapped by an alternate version of himself, he’s flung into a whacky maze of parallel realities. He’s not just searching for a way to get back to his wife, Daniela (the talented Jennifer Connelly), and their son, Charlie (the adorable Oakes Fegley). Oh no! He’s also discovering all the other lives he could’ve lived. Talk about a mind-bending concept!

Meet the Folks Behind the Madness

At the panel, you’ll catch Blake Crouch, the brain behind this beautiful mess, along with Edgerton, who’s doing double duty as an executive producer. Joining them will be Dayo Okeniyi, who plays Leighton Vance, plus writers and producers Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry and Matt Tolmach. It’s like the Avengers of TV—only with less spandex and more quantum physics. And guess what? Everyone attending will get a limited-edition Dark Matter poster to flaunt!

What’s New in Season Two?

In a recent interview, Crouch spilled the beans on the shift from season one’s themes of regret and reunion to the darker, spookier realms of survival and fulfillment in season two. He mused, “Season one was like your classic feel-good story. But now? We’re amping up the stakes.”

Edgerton chimed in, hinting that season two will dive deep into moral dilemmas—like what happens when you let a kid play with matches? “It’s one thing to have a powerful technology just lying there. But put it in the wrong hands? Oh boy!”

Don’t Miss Out!

If you’re hitting Comic-Con this summer, make sure to swing by Room 6DE at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 24, to catch this exclusive screening. You won’t want to miss this chance to see what havoc Jason Dessen is stirring up this time around. And remember, for all you convention-goers, the latest scoop from the panelists is spilling out in the SDCC edition of Den of Geek magazine, available for free! You can’t say no to free stuff, right?

And just to keep the hype train rolling, Dark Matter Season 2 premieres on Friday, August 28, exclusively on Apple TV. So, grab your popcorn and get ready for some sci-fi excitement!
