5 Things the Stranger Things Finale Needs to Avoid
1. Major Time Jumps – No Thanks!
Okay, let’s spill the tea – we want to know what happens to our beloved Hawkins gang in the future! I mean, do Steve and Nancy end up with a basketball team of rugrats? Does Eleven and Hopper become the world’s most secretive superhero duo? Does Dustin transform into a gaming legend? The suspense is killing us! But let’s keep the time travel to Back to the Future folks, shall we? If they decide to leap years ahead and show us aging characters, it might just end up looking like a bad makeup tutorial. Remember how off-putting it was to see the old Harry Potter kids? Yikes!
2. Using the Finale to Set Up a Spinoff
Look, we all know Stranger Things is the golden egg-laying goose that Hollywood can’t resist. Spinoffs are popping up like weeds in spring! But let’s not waste precious finale time plugging future series we didn’t ask for. We spent five seasons falling in love with Hawkins and its quirky inhabitants; let’s not get sidetracked with plans for an animated fun fest or a live-action spin-off that’s going to leave us scratching our heads.
3. Resurrection Shenanigans
Holy freakin’ cheese! Let’s avoid bringing back dead characters with some magical hand-waving or heavenly interventions. Seriously, we don’t need Eddie smiling down at us like he just won a lottery for the afterlife. It’s been done to death (pun intended). Let the characters rest; resurrection plots are just cringe-worthy. Remember when Supernatural did it? No thanks!
4. Cringe-Worthy Fan Service
Alright, we get it – fans want their favorite moments back, but do we really need a parade of nostalgia? Let’s leave iconic quotes back in the past! We don’t need to hear “friends don’t lie!” for the 789th time or see epic song flashbacks. And, please, for the love of D&D, no random celebrity cameos. We’re here for the core cast, not for surprise appearances from 1980s actors who’ve popped up everywhere else!
5. Ending on a Cliffhanger – Oh, Please No!
After nine years of waiting, can we PLEASE get a resolution that doesn’t leave us screaming at our screens in frustration? This finale should tie up the epic showdown with Vecna and reveal the fates of our favorite characters in a satisfying way. Leaving us hanging is NOT the vibe we’re here for! We want closure, folks! Let’s finish strong, not with a lukewarm cliffhanger that has us saying, “Seriously?”
