| Tanman32123: Literally mt only complaint about this movie was that it was a bit to long, Other then that it was excellent!
Great comedy, Characters, Acting, Plot, Everything was better then I had Expected.
The best scene (Spoiler) Was when the dad character (forgot name) Went to drop off his youngest daughter at school and see's the kids mom who was previously cussed out by his wife (forgot name) And he just fucking snaps!
"Fuck your shitty kid! I'll hit your kid with my car! I'll go to your house, find you, Find your iPhones, IPods and IPads and shove them up your ICunt!" Honestly I laughed so hard when he bashed the kids mom and her kid, Couldn't stop laughing lol..
Some people should really give this one a shot, I thought it was hilarious :P

| cress: I won't lie--I've enjoyed Apatow's films since KNOCKED UP. FUNNY PEOPLE was good until Sandler found out he no longer had cancer, then it kind of derailed. This film has a lot of laugh-out loud scenes, and hilarious performances by all the cast.
Leslie Mann probably gives her best performance to date. I guess it helps when your husband is writing scenes for you. Paul Rudd is Paul Rudd. He's basically the same goofy, smug, smart-ass that he is in every movie. But he's always solid for the roles he portrays. You either like or loathe him- I like him.
The supporting cast in Apatow's films are always stellar and never disappoint. Albert Brooks is hilarious, and it's good to see him shining again in a comedic role(he was also great in DRIVE). Chris O'Dowd, John Lithgow, Jason Segal, and Melissa McCarthy are also very good.
Some of the arguing scenes between Mann and Rudd seem unconvincing, and are quickly forgotten in the following scenes. The ending was too open-ended, but was acceptable. These are minor things, and did not take away from my enjoyment of the film. Definitely worth a watch if you want a good laugh. Not every scene is golden, but there are many more than most comedies. |
