|Good, except for the magic|

mickyboldersmack: The movie is actually pretty good, showing what one man can do to a government. It was shot in a way that makes you think you are watching a bootleg DVD, yet it was very appropriate.
The big problem with this film was the magic that Edward Norton's character constantly showed off. It was not magic tricks, it was real magic. That part just took me out of the movie every time.
The other thing was Norton's horrible accent. This man speaks several languages, but cannot fake an accent. Thank God, he's a great actor, cause I'm sure not too many people noticed that.
Overall, I would say it was a good movie to check out, but nothing special.

Black_Jack: This site is great for news about movies that are coming out, but if the previewers and reviewers are to be believed, there are no good movies out that are not boring dramas. The Illusionist is the final straw. I loved this movie, and everyone I know that has seen it loves it. But not WP. Sometimes I wonder if the critic here is an old lady. Is there only one critic, because the reviews all sound the same. If there IS only one critic, that would be more suited for a blog, not a full-blown website.
