The trailer for the new Uwe Boll movie "Darfur," starring Billy Zane, Matt Frewer, Kristanna Loken and Edward Furlong, has appeared online. It has yet to acquire a distributor, but will appear at the American Film Market later this year. Check out the trailer below.
Plot: Since 2003 the crisis in Darfur has claimed the lives of over 300,000 civilians. 2.8 million Darfuri have been displaced within Sudan. The Janjaweed Militiy and Sudanese Government Forces have been responsible for the majority of the rape, torture and murder. 3.8 million people are dependent on international humanitarian aid. One half of these people are beyond the reach of such help.
In 2009 a group of international Journalists visited a village in the Darfur region under the protection of the African Union (AU). They were never the same again.
This is so wrong. Why, oh why, did they give the rights to Boll? I know he's just trying to get some cred as a serious director, he shouldn't be allowed to touch such a delicate subject.

I'm not even gonna touch this trailer. The crisis in Darfur is way above Uwe Bolls pay grade. Not even Edward Furlong and Billy "he's a cool guy" Zane could save this disaster.

wow is this crisis for real?

Im actually kind of surprised Kristanna Loken still hasnt learned her lesson about appearing in an Uwe Boll films. The first two times are excusable but a third time is just beyond me.

What is worse than uwe BOLL is that it has happened for real and Nobody did anything to help or protect those innocent people. Not even George Clooney. Of course, there is no oil over there ! Otherwise George W. & Dick Cheney woud have surely saved them...
THIS IS BAD! this is a real story about something serious. having uwe boll create a film about genocide and rape... after postal....that's like salt in the wound
but true... good to spread the word.. it's just from boll it's won't be taken seriously... him touching this trivializes it. And this is serious. not something to make a bad action film out of.
I wouldn't want boll to do anything about the holocaust either...

Ike Dubaku is in this? COOL!
This will probably be bad just like everything Boll touches ends up being. But I'll still give it a shot.

I just think Uwe Boll really really sucks at campy flicks- yet he continues to try and make them...
...I'll admit that Tunnel Rats was a damn good film. Whether that was Boll or his production team I'll never know- but Tunnel Rats was a great, tense, serious flick.

Wow, I never saw so many people crucify a film without seeing it, sorry I don't know Uwe Boll's films. I actually saw Darfur last week at the AFM screening (I live in West LA), and it was very good (disturbing, but good). I know what is happening in Darfur because I volunteer for Stand Now. The film tells it like it really is, and I am grateful a filmmaker has taken a stand! Well done!

I saw a screening of this film last week and i think it was Fantastic. Very gory, but real. The cast was incredible, David O'Hara did an amazing job, and Sammy Sheik was extremely powerful.
I don't care if it's Uwe who made it. Other major directors never took the initiative
