Guy Pearce Wants to be The Riddler?Submit Comment
It's no surprise that big stars are gravitating to Christopher Nolan's new Batman franchise, including Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and now Guy Pearce, who previously worked with Nolan on "Memento."

MTV News got the chance to chat with Pearce, who revealed that he would love to work with Nolan again. "I'd love to work with Chris again," he said. "There hasn't been any discussion, we'll have to wait and see. I have a lot of reluctance [to playing a superhero or villain], but doing it with someone like Chris Nolan would certainly make it appealing."

Fans have unanimously agreed that The Riddler would be the perfect character to work into "The Dark Knight" sequel. Depp has already admitted that he would love the chance to step into the role, but now that Pearce has thrown his name into the hat, it should make for a very interesting new film. At this point, Nolan has not agreed to make the third movie, but Warner Bros is itching to continue to the franchise.

Now I can definately see him being Riddler, not Depp.

I like Guy, and I would love to see him work with Nolan. But as the Riddler? Nah. Not when Depp could be available. He would have been a great Harvey Dent, though.

why the riddler? why do we have to use the same villains over and over in these movies. batman begins was great cause it had three new villains, that people hadnt seen before on film (aka: Ras Al Ghul, Scarecrow and Carmine Falcone). Why do we have to keep using the riddler, the penguin and catwoman?

Wow, I think Guy will get it now... Although I love Depp as an actor, Guy is better suited. I think in the end NOlan will steer this bull to some place interesting if he's still interested himself. The first issue will be recasting the Joker probably.
