Warner Bros Wants a "Superman" Reboot

Warner Bros Wants a "Superman" RebootSubmit Comment
Anne Thompson of Variety reports that Warner Bros is currently trying to figure out what to do with the "Superman" franchise. The studio feels that the 2006 Bryan Singer-directed "Superman Returns" did not bring anything new to the table like Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" did.

Thompson is being told that it is a priority at Warner Bros to find the right direction for the franchise. Everyone feels fine with Bryan Singer participation on the project, but if he gets in the way, he may be pushed out.

At this point, the general feeling is that it is better to completely ignore Singer's movie. "It might be better to start from scratch," one executive admitted. What this means for Singer and Brandon Routh is yet to be seen.

I think Singer was too wrapped up in the feeling the older ones gave us as a fan himself, which is usually a good thing, to actually move past them into the now. I liked that he wanted "Returns" to be the real sequel to the first two films but he needed to bring some excitement and not rehashed plot ideas and curve ball ones, like Lane & Clark having had a baby. As exciting as it may have seemed for franchise exploitation and a wow factor for a future spin off, it was too much of a curve and a boring overall film to move like Nolan's Batman. He should have had Superman fight Braniac or a returning General Zod (Played by Jude Law in my opinion). If that were the case, baby Kent wouldn't have killed the movie along with a boring plot idea for Luther, but oh well...

make sure he is dressed in black, cant fly and has to fight a giant spider...cuz spider's are the most ferocious killers in the insect kingdom...

Thats crap. Keep Routh and Singer on board. Singer's film was great. Routh was a fantastic Superman. Rebooting it wouls suck. Even better, do a World's Finest film, directed by Chris Nolan, and starring Christian Bale, Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Cillian Murphy, Kevin Spacey, James Marsden, Michael Caine, Frank Langella, and Morgan Freeman.

This is an easy fix.... just make the sequal... keep kate bosworth, brandan routh, james marsden etc and all they'll need to do is just to make it a little more edgy... adult like... and DEFINITELY change the outfit!! Its too bright... it needs to be darker (and no i dont care what the comic or original show costume looked like)..... Dont do another remake!! Thats just crazy talk.
