JFX Online has your first look at the upcoming Will Ferrell movie, "Land of the Lost," based on the 1970s Sid and Marty Krofft fantasy TV series. The pictures are nothing exciting, but at least this is the first time we see Ferrell out of a sports uniform in a while.
In the movie, Ferrell plays Park Ranger Rick Marshall who, along with his two children, inadvertently stumble into a mysterious land populated by dinosaurs and other creatures, including the mysterious and dangerous race of Sleestak.
The pictures are from a scene where Ferrell's character is smoking and eating chips, after which throwing both into the lake.
Brad Silberling (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events) is directing "Land of the Lost," which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17th, 2009.
