The Oscars were a bit lengthy as always and because of that you might have missed a few things, which we will now bring to your attention.
First, similar to every year, the award show went through many names of people we lost in the film industry. Heath Ledger was obviously on the list, but Brad Renfro, who died on January 15th, exactly one week prior to Ledger's death, was left out. So why did this happen?I hope it had nothing to do with the fact that Renfro died of a drug overdose. If Ledger was mentioned, Renfro should have as well. The actor has previously appeared in such films as "The Client," "Apt Pupil" and "Bully." He was only 25 years old.
Second, when Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova won for best song, Irglova didn't get the chance to talk. As a result, host Jon Stewart brought her back for her to give an acceptance speech, which turned out to be a great Oscar moment. Watch the video below to see the entire thing unfold.
