In an interview with the HeraldSun, Eric Bana (Troy, The Hulk) spoke briefly about his upcoming role in JJ Abrams' "Star Trek," stating that it was only a cameo.
Bana is set to play the villain Nero. "It's just a great character, it's JJ Abrams," he said. "It's a really well-written script, great part. Couldn't say no. I don't actually look at the size of parts ever."
Bana previously confirmed that Nero is the main villain in the movie and since it is only a cameo that means that the plot will concentrate more on Kirk, Spock, etc., and their own troubles, rather than battles with villains.
