Today, we have a brand new poster for the upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson drama "There Will Be Blood. The story is described to be about family, greed, religion, and oil, centering around a turn-of-the-century Texas prospector (Daniel Day-Lewis) in the early days of the business.
Anderson began casting for the movie in 2005 and signed Day-Lewis to star. However, he could not raise the 25 million dollar budget he felt he needed to make the movie right. Luckily, Day-Lewis was so enamored with the script that he agreed to not take on any jobs and wait for Anderson to get his funding. He instead spent the time researching the Oil industry for an entire year.
Anderson has helmed some of my favorite movies, like "Punch Drunk Love," "Magnolia" and "Boogie Nights." This is his first feature film in five years and it is scheduled to hit theaters on December 26th.
