LatinoReview is reporting that director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) is all set to direct "At the Mountains of Madness" as his next film after "Hellboy 2."
"Madness" is Del Toro's passions project that he adapted from a novel by H.P. Lovecraft. The story follows explorers who journey to the Arctic where they uncover an ancient race of beasts.
The site adds that Warner Bros. Pictures was interested in the project, but Universal Pictures won out the contract that was signed two weeks ago.
It was reported earlier that Del Toro's next film would actually be "Tarzan." Apparently, he's still interested, just waiting for the script to be finished.
