Eric Eisner, son of former Disney chief Michael Eisner, is getting into the movie business, launching L+E Productions and starting production on "Hamlet 2." The film is said to be a high school comedy starring Steve Coogan and Catherine Keener with Andy Fleming directing.
Lensing starts September 17th in New Mexico and is centered on a teacher who tries to save his drama department by writing a sequel to William Shakespeare's "Hamlet." Project's based on a script co-written by Fleming (Nancy Drew) and Pam Brady (Team America: World Police).
The film will carry a budget in the $10 million to $15 million range.
