Christian Bale Says "NO" to "Justice League"

Christian Bale Says "NO" to "Justice League"Submit Comment
As expected, Christian Bale is not too happy about the "Justice League of America" movie coming together so fast, which plans to start production early 2008. It is every fans' dream to have Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Bale sign on for "JLA," and any thoughts of re-casting either one should be forgotten immediately. Unfortunately, if the movie were to become reality, Warner Bros. might need to find themselves a new Batman, cause Bale does not seem interested.

During a press junket for "3:10 to Yuma," he was hit with a few question about the upcoming ensemble superhero pic and his participation in it. According to IESB, Bale said that he has not signed on to be in the film and when asked if he will do "Justice League" after "The Dark Knight," his answer was simply: "No."

Apparently, he hasn't even been approached to be in the movie, and when the question came out about re-casting Batman for the new film, Bale said: "It'd be better if it doesn't tread on the toes of what we're doing, though I feel that it would be better if it comes out after Batman 3."

Sounds like Bale and director Christopher Nolan are looking to complete their Batman trilogy, without anything getting in the way. Bale's participation in a "Justice League" movie after the third installment is unlikely, so the only rational decision would be for Warner Bros. to move forward and start looking for a new Batman. But how would the fans feel about two movies coming out the same year, both featuring the Caped Crusader, portrayed by different actors?

Fans shouldn't care. Batman and Justice League have completely different dynamics. I think its good that big names won't be in the film because they would detract from the team aspect of the League. If fans can't handle that there are two different actors, they're living in a fantasy world -- its just a MOVIE be glad they're making it and hope for a good script.
