Michelle Monaghan (The Heartbreak Kid) has signed to join Shia LaBeouf in "Eagle Eye," the thriller that DJ Caruso (Disturbia) will direct for DreamWorks. Paramount will distribute the film worldwide.
Monaghan plays a single mother who forms an unlikely alliance with LaBeouf as they are framed as terrorists and are forced to join a cell plotting a political assassination. Hillary Seitz wrote the most recent draft.
"Eagle Eye" begins production in the fall and also stars Rosario Dawson, who turned down the chance to work with Kevin Smith on "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" for this project.
