Tom Hanks in Fahrenheit 451Submit Comment
We have heard about director Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption) looking to adapt Ray Bradbury's novel "Fahrenheit 451" for a while, but nothing more outside of that. Now, AICN reports that Darabont already began casting and has found someone to play the role of Guy Montag.

The scooper who revealed that Billy Crudup has been cast as Manhattan in "Watchmen," is now stating that Darabont chose "The Green Mile" star, Tom Hanks, as the lead. As always, you cannot ask for a better actor than Hanks, even though Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson have been attached at one point.

The story takes place during a terrifying future, where a young man, Guy Montag (Hanks), who's job as a fireman is to burn all books, questions his actions after meeting a young girl... and begins to rebel against society.
