AICN posted an email from a scooper, who heard about a new John Carpenter film in the works. While the details are slim, it is still worthy of being mentioned. Here is what he had to say:
"On Friday the CE in our office started talking to one of the producers about a new John Carpenter Movie. The "Thing" and the first "Escape From New York" are two of my favorite movies of all time so my ears perked up and I overheard the CE describing Carpenter's new movie. He said it's called LA Gothic and the script has various chapters but they all revolve around a Preist and his Teen-age daughter and that there are a ton of creatures in it. It's supposed to have vampires, zombies and a demon-possesed rock-star. He said it all takes place in LA over a couple of days and that it's vintage Carpenter tons of gore and action."
Rumors of a movie called "LA Gothic" have been floating around the internet, but these are the first details that I'm hearing about. Hopefully Carpenter will reveal some more soon.
