Michael Moore had an idea to create a group on YouTube where people could post videos of their problems with the healthcare industry, which would also help promote his movie "Sicko." The goal, Moore says, is to collect as many of these video as possible, and then take them to Congress to let our officials hear from the people.
Unfortunately, there have been only ten videos posted in the last five days, which either means that people have no problems or that nobody believes in Moore's plan. In my opinion, people that don't have health insurance probably don't spend their time making videos. I'm also guessing that YouTube's target audience is teenagers, who are on their parents' plan and probably don't worry themselves too much with our country's healthcare system.
I'm not even sure what bringing the videos to Congress will even do. Does Moore have a solution for this "problem"? America has the best technology and the best tools in the world ready for you in case you get sick. Some of the countries that Moore considers to have a better healthcare system don't even have running water in their hospitals. Plus, a wait to see a doctor can sometimes be months. We Americans expect the best, and we get the best, and the only way to keep what we have and to have everything be free, is to raise taxes to the kind of numbers that would make your eyes bug out.
I say, either offer a solution or shut the hell up.
