Peter Jackson Talks "Halo"Posted: May 27th, 2007 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

Director Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) spoke to Stuff website about the big budget adaptation of Microsoft's "Halo" video game.
Last year, the film was scheduled to be shot in Wellington and director Neill Blomkamp was signed on. However, the plans were put on hold when Microsoft couldn't find a studio to partner with.
According to Jackson, since the "Halo 3" video game will be released later this year and is guaranteed to dominate the market, he expects renewed interest from 20th Century Fox and Universal Pictures.
As far as Jackson, he and partner Fran Walsh would be involved again in "Halo" only if Blomkamp is the director. "We wouldn't want to do it with anybody else. It'll be Neill's call."
My belief, is that this film will never be made, unless Microsoft takes the big risk and puts up 100% of the money. Stay tuned.
