Michael Bay to Direct "Time Salvager" Time-Travel Movie

Michael Bay to Direct "Time Salvager" Time-Travel MovieSubmit Comment
It was recently reported that after directing his "13 Hours" Benghazi film, Michael Bay will then take on the fifth "Transformers" installment. But now there seems to be another project competing for his attention.

According to The Wrap, Bay has signed on to direct a big screen adaptation of Wesley Chu's "Time Salvager" sci-fi novel. "The speed that Mark [Vahradian], the president of Di Bonaventura, pushed for Paramount to close the option, and the enthusiasm Michael Bay showed in attaching to 'Time Salvager,' has been nothing short of astounding," said Chu. "Often, getting this far in the process can take months, if not years. This went down in a matter of weeks."

The story follows a convicted criminal named James Griffin-Mars, who is identified as one of a select group ideally suited for time-travel missions that could delay humanity's demise. He’s sent to Earth's past to recover resources and treasure without altering the timeline. On a final mission that will secure his retirement, James meets Elise Kim, an intriguing scientist from a previous century, who’s fated to die during the destruction of an ocean rig. James brings Elise back to the future with him, saving her life, but turning them both into fugitives.

"Time Salvager" is set to hit stores on July 7th.

Sasha looked at the bodies of the two bad men who had tried to take her, and then back at the glowing man. He knew her name, and he had saved her from these bad men. The glowing man couldn’t be bad then.

She took his hand. The yellow glow seemed to wrap around her, tickling her nose and skin, and she felt all warm. She hadn’t felt this nice since Momma was around. The hallway around her began to light up and everything in sight turned yellow. Just before everything became too bright, Sasha saw James run to the far end of the hallway, screaming her name over and over again.

“I’m here!” she yelled, extending her hand toward him. “James!” Then her stomach felt funny and everything went dark

The guy can't f*cking direct a movie with a linear timeline. How the f*ck can anyone trust him with a movie with time travel involved?

He'll get no more than a year. I hear it wasn't felony assault. Or so I think I read. So that means a max year in county. Much less with the deals they give prisoners, like two for one credit. First time conviction, too, and a celeb (sort of), so I'll bet a big fine and probation.

"The first misdemeanor carries a maximum sentence of nine months in prison, the second a maximum of 90 days in prison."

So yeah, a couple of months, no big deal, and that's f*cking max. Prison = jail. They're not going to send him to the pen for that sh*t.

His biggest worry should be that sh*tty career of his.

Oh, and this Time Strangler or whatever book is pretty f*cking terrible. Will probably make a terrible movie, like everything Bay has done over the last fifteen years.

Still waiting for that movie about that f*cked up Youtube kid and the one about the napkin sketch. f*cking Hollywood faggots.

Bay's talent always lied in pure action movies. 'The Rock' 'Bad Boys' ' Bad Boys 2' - when he tried something else like 'Pearl Harbor' 'The Island' and most of the transformers franchise it turned into sh*t.
now his ego got over his talent and all he can make is pro american garbage that doesn't make any sense.
ᴉʞsʍoʞuᴉɯ writes:

Bay's pro-American attitudes don't bother me much because I'm an American and it's refreshing to see an American director who doesn't use his or her profession to constantly bash the US.

I'll admit though, that he does take it a bit far, but a lot of that is because he sees the military as a bunch of hothead dimbulbs with a penchant for pyrotecnics. He thinks they're just like him.

As for the Transformers...hate all the films. Even the sh*tty first one with the f*cking stupid scene with Bumblebee pissing on Turturro.

But Bay makes those so he can get money for his other projects, like 13 Hours and Pain and Gain, thus I cannot hold those films against him anymore than I can hold it against a guy for working a sh*t job just to feed his family and pursue his hobbies.

We'll see what he does with these two movies, athough I'm not expecting more than his usual run and jump boomathon.

@fink

Alex should have clarified that the retail release date of the *novel* is July 7th, but he is awful with details.

I know multiple media products in all categories get leaked a few weeks or a month before their release date.

Your 3rd post still shows you either do not have very good reading comprehension, or do not google anything, or are just a sh*tty troll.
ᴉʞsʍoʞuᴉɯ writes:

I wonder how long it'll be before he finally decides to do a bad boys 3, and if so, will it be too late? 12 years or more, of a gap between the 2nd film to now is cutting things really short
