"Jurassic World" to Ignore Last Two Films, to Bring Back T-Rex

"Jurassic World" to Ignore Last Two Films, to Bring Back T-RexSubmit Comment
Now that Colin Trevorrow is promoting "Jurassic World," the director has revealed that the new movie will be a direct sequel to the original "Jurassic Park" film and the plan is to somewhat pretend that 1997's "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" and 2001's "Jurassic Park III" never happened.

Trevorrow said he's able to do this because the second and third installments take place on a different island. And to create a connection to the first movie, he decided to bring back a familiar character, the T-Rex.

"The T-Rex that's in the film is the T-Rex from the original 'Jurassic Park.' She is 22 years older. But she's not limping around," he revealed. "We took the original design and obviously, technology has changed... So, it's going to move a little bit differently, but it'll move differently because it's older. And we're giving her some scars and we're tightening her skin. So, she has that feeling of, like, an older Burt Lancaster. And this movie is her 'Unforgiven.'"

Too bad no Jeff, though. He really made the films a joy.

They should expand on the ideas a bit. Add some Triassic, some Cretaceous. Some Pennsylvanian. Some freaking Devonian for Christ's sake!

It's just a tad c*nty to ignore The Lost World since it is based on Michael Crichton's own sequel novel to Jurassic Park.

But f*ck the 3rd movie

Still think the first film had the most realistic looking dinosaurs, it was like 50/50 with animatronics and cgi, even the cgi looked more realistic

Spielberg sh*t the bed with the Lost World movie. It's no way like Crichton's book, who said after that they decided to change so much his story he didn't want to get involved next time. Then they made JPIII with a patchwork of scenes from the books (JP and TLW) they haven't include in the two previous movies. They are doing just good ignoring the second and third movies. They were sh*t.
