First Trailer for Sundance Hit "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl"Submit Comment
Fox Searchlight has finally released the trailer for "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," the big hit out of Sundance that not only set the record for the biggest acquisition, but is also only one of three films that won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award (other two are "Whiplash" and "Fruitvale Station"). Check out the trailer below.

Plot: The story of Greg (Thomas Mann), a high school senior who is trying to blend in anonymously, avoiding deeper relationships as a survival strategy for navigating the social minefield that is teenage life. He even describes his constant companion Earl (RJ Cyler), with whom he makes short film parodies of classic movies, as more of a 'co-worker' than a best friend. But when Greg's mom (Connie Britton) insists he spend time with Rachel (Olivia Cooke) a girl in his class who has just been diagnosed with cancer - he slowly discovers how worthwhile the true bonds of friendship can be.

The new movie is set to hit theaters on June 12th. It currently has 100% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.

@bando

Both are great and brutal old-school R rated action movies.
Papillon writes:

Not only Tannymany is one war behind but also Bando has just joined the VIP section!

Kudos fellas!

I watched John Wick like 2 months ago.

Thanks for that much anticipated look of True Detective II Deaf but my feeling is the same about the miscast of Rachel McAdams and surprisingly Vince Vaughn looks convincing in that baddie role.

And Bando, sorry to disappoint you amigo but Colin Farrell looks really cool & good.

Eat your heart out!
Tanman32123 writes:

John wick was pretty cool
Rambo_redux writes:

John Wick had a lot of style but that's about it and Keanu Reeves was a miscast.

@deaf

the casting looks weaker then Season 1.
Deaft0ne writes:

@rambo

Well Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn can be good when given dramatic material so I am willing to give this a chance.

Also, this second season is 10 episodes whereas season 1 was 8.

I actually thought "November Man" was grossly underrated. Literal cliche at times but Brosnan's performance mixed with the action was great.

@everyone
Okay I actually think this looks good. Olivia Cooke is a very good young actress. Her work on "Bates Motel" is great and she looks like she really wants to explore solid material. I wish her luck in her career.

There is a Rambo (The film series) joke in that comment somewhere. LOL
