STX Entertainment just unveiled the trailer for its upcoming "The Gift" thriller, starring Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall and Joel Edgerton. Check it out below.
Plot: Simon (Bateman) and Robyn (Hall) are a young married couple whose life is going just as planned until a chance encounter with an acquaintance from Simon's high school sends their world into a harrowing tailspin. Simon doesn't recognize Gordo (Edgerton) at first, but after a seemingly coincidental series of encounters proves troubling, a horrifying secret from their past is uncovered after nearly 20 years. As Robyn learns the unsettling truth about what happened between Simon and Gordo, she starts to question: how well do we really know the people closest to us, and are past bygones ever really bygones?
The new movie is directed by Joel Edgerton, the actor from such films as "The Great Gatsby," "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Warrior." It's set to hit theaters on July 31st.

^ I'm wondering what happened to two-three line movie plot log lines! LOL Use to be a short, brief sum up of the plot set-up so audiences can then be surprised. Now they put basically the whole plot minus the very ending of it as if to lower expectations and that people will just see it because it's safe knowing what's to come.1
