Jennifer Lawrence Says "X-Men: Apocalypse" is Her Last "X-Men" Film

Jennifer Lawrence Says "X-Men: Apocalypse" is Her Last "X-Men" FilmSubmit Comment
Jennifer Lawrence currently stars in two major franchises, "The Hunger Games" and "X-Men." The last installment of "The Hunger Games" will be released later this year, and now comes word from the actress, she plans to leave the "X-Men" series after next year's "X-Men: Apocalypse."

"It is my last one, actually. Yes," Lawrence said of "X-Men: Apocalypse." She didn't explain her reason for refusing to reprise the Mystique role, but the film may be the perfect way for her to exist the franchise.

Writer Simon Kinberg previously said that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will "complete the trilogy we began with 'First Class' to complete the stories of young Raven, young Hank, younger Charles and Erik." Meanwhile, lots of new characters are being introduced, including young versions of Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey.

In other words, it's possible that the franchise may not only lose Lawrence, but also James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender. Stay tuned.

Not like we'll miss her, and they'll probably reboot the damned thing anyway.

Not like any chick can't put on some blue paint and act like a c*nt.

Damn !
Misread the headline, thought it said ; X Men Apocalypse is her last film...period :(

I misread it in the following way : ' X - men apocalypse is Bryan Singer's last film'

Exist the franchise . Yeap that makes sense.

Way to proof read Alex .

Mystique was a bit part.They cast this bitch as her and she's one of the f*cking leads now.
They have repeatedly shat all over this franchise.

The real shame is over the course of these films amongst them there have been v good scenes.

-x-men (opening scene in the concentration camp)
-x2(Nightcrawler/whitehouse scene)
-first class(Magneto in the bar)
-dofp(opening fight scene and quicksilver scene)

Now if they can actually put together good scene's why can't they make the whole script good?

And a happy Tuesday to you too Deaftbitch! :) LOL Come on , we both know she was the weakest of the story no matter how you spinned it. Besides now we can be friends again. LOL And sadly that is more important than this really unnecessary news.

@Deaft0ne
That is good news! Neeson is always fun to watch as an action star but it's also nice to read there he is in fact still challenging himself with a Scorcese film coming down the pipeline. Hey did you see or hear about that Oscar nominated animated film "Song of the Sea". The fact it got zero attention makes me think it actually might have been the best of the nominees. LOL

Only 6 episodes?!?

Booooooooo!
Rambo_redux writes:

6 episodes sounds perfect to me - that spares us the boring 18 filler episodes about worm man etc.
Deaft0ne writes:
on March 24th, 2015 at 2:45:10 PM

It should be at least 12 episodes, because in a typical season of 22 episodes, 10 were stand alone and the rest were mythology.
Deaft0ne writes:
on March 24th, 2015 at 3:58:45 PM

@Sleuth

Originally Daniel Day-Lewis was going to play the lead role as the priest in Silence but he decided to retire again after Lincoln so Liam Neeson replaced him.

Either way, it would have been the 2nd time DDL would have been in a Scorcese film after Gangs of New York. Now it's Liam Neeson's 2nd time because he had the cameo in the beginning.
Tanman32123 writes:

I'd love to see it 10+ but I'm happy with the 6. Begers can't be choosers right lol Plus like Rambo said, it'll skip the (mostly) crappy monster of the week episodes and get straight to the mythology we all love
Deaft0ne writes:
on March 24th, 2015 at 4:17:42 PM

@Tan

Yeah but if you read my earlier post, I said a typical season of 22 eps was 50/50 between stand alone and mythology eps.

I think this short order has more to do with Anderson being on Hannibal and The Fall and Duchovny possibly being burnt out from doing Californication for the last several years and now doing this Aquarius show about the Charles Manson cult.

I would have preferred they waited a bit longer to do at least 10-12 eps instead of a paltry 6.
