First Look at "The Secret in Their Eyes" Remake, with Julia Roberts and Chiwetel EjioforSubmit Comment
Today we have the first photo from the upcoming "The Secret in Their Eyes" remake, starring Julia Roberts, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nicole Kidman and Dean Norris. Check it out below.

Plot: A retired legal counselor writes a novel hoping to find closure for one of his past unresolved homicide cases and for his unreciprocated love with his superior - both of which still haunt him decades later.

The new movie is an English language remake of the 2009 movie "El Secreto de Sus Ojos," which won the Oscar for best foreign film. The remake is set to hit theaters on October 23rd. Billy Ray (Breach) directed.

A movie about a man writing novels, and that man isn't Stephen King.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

"for his unreciprocated love"

Unrequited, dude, unrequited.

"Unreciprocated". LMAO. That made my browser spell-checker sh*t blood.

Only one talent among them : Dean Norris a.k.a Hank Schrader !

unreciprocated and unrequited are meaning the same thing in this context: feelings for one another!

These two adjectives are synonyms and define exactly the same thing!

"These two adjectives are synonyms and define exactly the same thing!"

Actually they're not, dumb ass. "Unreciprocated" is barely a word and is already present in the definition of unrequited, whereas unrequited is specifically tailored to "unreciprocated" love.

unreciprocated ⊂ unrequited, but ≠.

^ ^ First, buy a f*cking dictionary and try learning to read and comprehend what's written and then go f*ck your mother!

"unreciprocated love" is poor use of language. No educated person would write such doggerel. The proper word is "unrequited". Alex is a f*cking tool.

Oh so now Hollywodd is remaking foreign movies...pathetic.

Love the watch. What's that, Panerai?

No need to remake the already great movie.

Theres so many interesting dramas and crime thrillers from the late 40's early 50s that could me remade

I have always liked Julia Roberts because she is a genuinely talented actress and the last of an era of actresses with a quality and allure of Old Hollywood along with Winona Ryder, Drew Barrymore, Bridget Fonda, and a few others.

I never saw the original but I will watch this remake at some point because of the good cast it has.

Tastes differ, but... Drew Barrymore?.. Old Hollywood? Quality and allure?..

Also you should really watch the original. It's a quality thriller which, as you so eloquently put, captures the quality and allure of Old Hollywood. Namely 70's thrillers.

@Confucius

I like older films a lot and Drew Barrymore's innocent demeanor reminds me of actresses from the black and white period. Sly and clever but sweet as well

I will try to watch the original version of this film.
