During the halftime of Wednesday's basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans, fans got to see Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg film a scene for their upcoming "Daddy's Home" movie.
In the scene, Ferrell's character hits one of the Pelicans cheerleaders in the face with a basketball and is then tackled by actors playing security guards, before being escorted off the court. Lots of fans recorded the scene and put it online. Check out one of those videos below.
"Daddy's Home" follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife's two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.

The fact that this stupid sh*t passes for entertainment makes me sad. I'm sure 14 year old guys everywhere will laugh at it and see it in theaters several times. It will make money and they will rehash it again...and again.
It makes me wonder where the bottom is for Hollywood? How bad will it get before they let somebody make something original. It doesn't even need to be good. Just original. Something new that nobody's ever seen or thought of before. I know even Will Ferrell is capable of it because I remember Stranger than Fiction. It was different. I dug it. Not a game changer, but it was different. New.
