So, not really sure what to say with respect to this rather pointless cut-and-paste from IMDb...

Basically LOTRs is the big seller we all knew it would be, and Angeline Jolie is now a profitable director.

Sure is weird though to have a woman begin making inroads into film-making. I imagine in twenty years white guys won't have jack to do. Every director and screenwriter will be gay or black or female. Or all of the above. Don't really care. Most films these days are garbage and it doesn't look like it'll improve any time soon, if ever.

So let's be honest: white men, as in pretty much all things, bestowed upon the world the pinnacle of film-making, leaving the *sshole end of cinema to the politically-correct talentless dilettantes.

I guess it's true: the losers shall in fact inherit the earth.

Hobbit 3 was okay but still greatly suffered from 3rd movie syndrome. I was not impressed with the overlong end battles and after Thorin dies and the story is effectively over, PJ drags the f*cker out with 5 more needless codas that add nothing of value at all.

4/10.

Unbroken was written by one of the Coen bros, the ones who were responsible for Big Lebowski, Barton Fink, etc
