Adam Sandler is Hollywood's Most Overpaid Actor, Again

Posted: December 24th, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Adam Sandler is HollywoodSubmit Comment
Forbes magazine has released its annual list of Hollywood's most overpaid actors. And for the second year in a row, Adam Sandler topped the list, with his "Grown Ups 2" hit failing to compensate for the losses from "Jack and Jill" and "That's My Boy." On average, Sandler's films earned $3.20 for every $1 paid to the actor.

Johnny Depp landed in second place for such failures as "The Lone Ranger" and "Dark Shadows." His films earned $4.10 for every $1 paid to the actor. And Ben Stiller took third place with $4.80 for every $1. Movies like "Tower Heist" and "The Watch" contributed the terrible numbers.

Check out the full list below.

1. Adam Sandler - $3.20 for every $1

2. Johnny Depp - $4.10 for every $1

3. Ben Stiller - $4.80 for every $1

4. Ryan Reynolds - $4.90 for every $1

5. Tom Hanks - $5.20 for every $1

6. Will Ferrell - $6.60 for every $1

7. Channing Tatum - $6.70 for every $1

8. Denzel Washington - $6.90 for every $1

9. Sandra Bullock - $9 for every $1

10. Ben Affleck - $9.37 for every $1

Also the most annoying.

Hmmmm. Overpaid must not mean what I thought it means, because if I were to bring in almost three and a half bucks for every dollar sent out, that would be seen as some kind of profit, assuming that all outlays were included in that initial dollar.

Just saying.

Anyway, half the people on that list are garbage and shouldn't have an acting career anyway.

No sh*t, why people still hire him is a big riddle to me !

That's My Boy was irritating but had some funny moments. I'd say it's

Comparable to Billy Gilmore or Happy Madison.

Sandra Bullock? She was in Gravity which was a runaway hit. It made like $600 million at the box office didn't it? Would that be considered overpaid if she brings in that kind of profit or is part of a movie that does that? Same with Ben Affleck. He's only directed "Argo" in the last couple years...are they already including his Batman paycheck there and just putting it against the cost of the movie?

Who cares, these lists are always BS ^

Mehis wasn't exactly a good year for films anyway.
Or rather, any film that doesn't have a f*cking superhero in it.

@Deaf
Dude. Don't you dare compare That's My Boy to Happy Gilmore. That movie is pure comic gold, and takes up a large portion of my early-life screen-watching. TMB had like two genuinely funny parts. Not even comparable.

@Sleuth
One over-hyped over-priced movie does not a good actor make. Gravity made plenty of money, but it still sucked. Now, go look at her list of movies for the past several years. Almost every last title on the list is worse than the one above it.

I even kind of like Bullock to some degree. But she's really not that great, and doesn't pull audiences by her name alone like she could fifteen years ago

Bullock blows. Never cared for her.

@attos
Think Godzilla , Edge of Tomorrow , Dawn of the planet of the Apes alongside some great thrillers and dramas made 2014 a pretty solid year !!
