Sony Asking Sam Raimi and "Captain America 2" Directors For Help With "Spider-Man" Franchise

Sony Asking Sam Raimi and "Captain America 2" Directors For Help With "Spider-Man" FranchiseSubmit Comment
Directors Anthony and Joe Russo did such a great job with "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," that the helmers will return for "Captain America: Civil War" and have been rumored to take over for Joss Whedon on the two "Avengers: Infinity War" films.

According to the hacked Sony Pictures emails, the Russo brothers have had numerous conversations with Sony Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal about using Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War." And since that deal didn't work out, the brothers have been in talks to produce Sony's upcoming "Spider-Man" films.

In older emails, Pascal begged Sam Raimi, the director of the first three "Spider-Man" films, to help with bring the franchise to what it once was. But in another email, Pascal tells a colleague that she doesn't need Raimi's help because he went "Joel Schumacher on the third ['Spider-Man' movie]." For those who don't know, Schumacher is the man behind "Batman and Robin."

SOMEONE needs to help Sony out with their clusterf*ck.

This sh*tty movie studio is afraid of me. I have seen its true face.
It's streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown.
The acc*mulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "save us!"

And I'll look down, and whisper "no."

They should ask me how to help this franchise. Here's my suggestion: kill the f*cker off right now. Sell the rights back to Marvel for a dime. Count yourself lucky. Thank whatever sh*tty god you worship you didn't f*ck up the franchise any further.

f*cking idiots.

Next time cast a flaming poofer who isn't halfway into the closet like Garfield. At least then we can get some cinema verite, for a change.

Pascal tells a colleague that she doesn't need Raimi's help because he went "Joel Schumacher on the third ['Spider-Man' movie]."

Does she mean he didn't like the studio taking the control of the film out of the directors hands? Same sh*t happened with Fox with X3 and Origins. Why hire a director for their style/vision, only to try and dictate to them how to make the film.

Again, Sony shows just how far they have their heads up their own asses.

Spider-Man 3, while crowded with villains and having a convoluted story, it was a far cry from the campiness and over the top style of Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

No one in Spider-Man 3 is saying some irritating quip every 5 seconds like in Batman & Robin.

Ahnuld as Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin.

"Ya not zending me to da goolah!"

"Okaeh evereeone, CHILL!"

"*insert another bad ice/cold related pun here*"

Thomas Haden Church as Sandman in Spider-Man 3

"Hey Spidey!, why don't you POUND SAND!" *HITS SPIDER-MAN WITH GIANT SAND FIST*

"Hey Spidey, this fight won't be just a DAY AT THE BEACH!"

*insert another bad sand-related pun here*

The difference between these two is Sandman NEVER SAID DUMB sh*t LIKE THAT IN SPIDER-MAN 3.

Otoh in Batman & Robin every f*cking character just can't control themselves and say sh*t like that constantly.

Spider-Man 3 may be lame but it's not because it is like Schumacher's 2 Batman films.

Raimi's only problem on Spider-Man 3 was miscasting venom and adding in that stupid jazz sequence, I think we can forgive that just this once, so long as he doesn't do what these reboots have done...and to Sony, I have a little message for you, stop f*cking up!!! if you really want the help you are asking, then maybe it's time you payed attention to what popularized Spider-Man? Something about the 90s cartoon and a combination of being able to play venom in marvel vs capcom certainly would do it, so did all those x-men games on SNES and maximum carnage...oh and replacing Danny Elfman was also a big no no but let's just pretend none of these mistakes ever happened that's the sony way right??

There's no way that Pascal will keep her job. After all the sh*tstorm around this?

Jesus f*cking Christ

I care more about Eli Roth's new film than I do super f*cking hero trite films at this point.

Here's an idea - find that passion the film industry once had as oppose to films that a f*cking retard would enjoy. What happened to films like The Thing? Robocop? Star Wars?

f*ck modern hollywood and mother f*cking bovine America. You can all kiss my mother f*ckin ass.
