New James Bond Film to Cost $350 Million?Submit Comment
According to a document that leaked from the recent Sony Pictures hacking, the new James Bond film, "Spectre," is on track to become one of the most expensive movies of all time, costing around $350 million.

MGM president Jonathan Glickman sent emails in early November looking for ways to cut the budget down to $250 million, suggesting to use locations in London rather than in Rome, using less train carriages, cutting back on visual effects and using more elements that maximize a Mexican tax incentive.

In the emails, producer Barbara Broccoli is refusing to cut any costs, with Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal adding: "It's insane and you know with no script this movie is gonna go over-budget."

Other things learned from the emails is that Sam Mendes cast Andrew Scott ("Sherlock") as Bond's boss "C." Plus, there will be a "lesbian bad lady" and we'll meet Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the evil genius behind the secret organization SPECTRE.

Maybe. Lots of CGI these days.

Not like Bond is another John Carter, so they can easily afford it. Just make the f*cker good. That's all that matters to me.

Just don't hire Gore Verbinski. That stupid f*ck would recreate the Colosseum instead of filming on-location.

'Horrible Bosses 2' - 4/10 , had 3-4 funny scenes but overall too long and unfunny compared to the original.

WTF? For $250 million Gore Verbinski built a real train and ran the f*cker off of a real bluff in the Lone Ranger, which is why that colossal piece of sh*t cost that much. I can't see a film costing this much unless Jonah Hill is cast as Blofeld, which means the craft services part of the budget would be $200 million easy.

If I remember correctly the Broccoli family is a bunch of crooks so I suspect a big chunk of the budget gets swiped by them. Jews gone jew.

Yawn...aren't the majority of production costs covered by product placement in Bond movies anyway?

Hopefully that 350 mil will help take some of the wrinkles off of Daniel Craig's face.

Horrible Bosses 2 was very tame compared to the first one. The brightest spots were the brief Spacey and Aniston scenes.

Aside from that it was just a silly 3 Stooges type caper film that made very little sense.

Chris Pine was good though and is a very capable comedic actor.

^ Pine was ok in Stretch as well !!!

^agreed.they made the 3 characters much more moronic compared to the first one.

The Equalizer - 7.5/10

Solid old school action movie.wasn't quite as bad ass as 'Man on Fire'(an action masterpiece imo) but had some great moments.
Denzel is getting too old,though.

Cast Mike Myers as Ernst Stavro Blofeld!

What's with Bond and the need to show train carnage? The opening scene from Skyfall was good enough. No need to see that again.

Best train sequence was Connery's fight with Shaw in From Russia With Love - really felt the tension and the close quarters in the train cabin. Shaw was badass - RIP.

@Rambo

Speaking of Man on Fire, the mansion set in Horrible Bosses 2 where Christoph Waltz lived looked nearly identical to Marc Anthony & Radha Mitchell's mansion in Man on Fire.

My guess is it's the same set.

If it is - then it's probably been used by dozen other movies for different purposes.
anyhow it's seen better days then that sh*tty sequel ala 'the three stooges'

The bond movies are always fun to watch. Give em the budget, it'll easily make a billion
