"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" Still Rules Box Office, "The Pyramid" BombedSubmit Comment
With no new wide release at the domestic box office this weekend, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" easily took first place for the third week in a row. The film earned an additional $21.6 million for a new domestic total of $257.7 million and a worldwide total of $560.5 million.

"Mockingjay" is on the brink of passing "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" ($259.7 million) to become the second highest grossing film domestically behind "Guardians of the Galaxy" ($332 million). It's still behind "The Hunger Games: Caching Fire."

Landing in ninth place was the found-footage horror film "The Pyramid," which was released in 589 theaters. The new movie earned $1.4 million domestically and $3.7 million internationally for a worldwide debut of $5.1 million. It has a terrible 8% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.

Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon's "Wild" was released in 21 theaters, earning $630,000 for a per location average of $30,000. The film has a 92% fresh rating and will likely expand next weekend.

Meh.

Forget about Hunger Games, how about a movie called Take-a-Dump Games, where everyone in the movie is obsessed with taking a dump before the next man or woman. They aren't hungry, because they are always eating, preparing themselves for the next cow patty dropped to dry in the hot sun.

Never even heard of The Pyramid. Is that like The Triangle but in three dimensions? What's next? The Tesseract? The Hypercube? Well they already did The Cube. So maybe...the Parallelepiped?

Loving these idiotic geometrically-themed movies no one wants to see.

This movie news reads like a parody. Really. Some goofy teen chick flick is "on the brink" of busting the balls of some cartoon comic book movie, but hasn't made quite as much as the first goofy teen chick flick in the apparently never-ending series, all of which is somehow behind Marvel's Crayola Crayon-colored Star Wars comic-book CGI'ed-to-sh*t rip-off.

Man, it sure does seem like a billion years ago that Die Hard was playing to sold-out summer crowds at the local cineplex...

Minks Take-A-Dump Game actually sounds a whole lot better than this steaming pile of dung !!!
Incredible, how many people out there putting cowsh*t in their eyes and come back for more !

This will sound strange but let me explain. The Hunger Games is a cowardly franchise. They release their films in the dead-zone of November when nothing else is being released but Oscar-bait films that a majority of people won't go to. Like a thief in the night, the franchise gets away with one of the highest box office numbers of the last two years.

@Bjsforeveryone
So yes people will go see sh*t when there is nothing else to see.
