Lifetime just unveiled the trailer for its upcoming "Whitney" biopic, based on the turbulent personal life of late singer Whitney Houston. Check it out below.
The biopic tells the story of Houston's rise to fame, along with her relationship with Bobby Brown. Yaya DaCosta stars as Houston, Arlen Escarpeta plays Brown and Mark Rolston is music executive Clive Davis.
The new movie marks Angela Bassett's directorial debut and is set to air on January 17th at 8pm on Lifetime.
Whitney Houston was a once in a lifetime talent like Celine Dion or Michael Jackson. You people are so disrespectful of this amazing woman and her equally amazing husband that I think you are just jealous. This looks like it is going to be an amazing biopic and I for one cannot wait to see it!

She's dead and only had a few good songs, aside from that she was a crazy crackhead bitch.
Bobby Brown is even more useless alive than Whitney Houston's rotting corpse.
No one gives a f*ck.
