Sony's Internal Documents Leak Online, Show That Employees Hate Sony Movies

Posted: December 4th, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

It was recently reported that hackers broke into the computers of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and leaked five of the studio's movies, including four un-released films. Now comes word that the hackers also stole documents, which include salaries, passports, credit card numbers, medical records and even internal complaints from Sony employees.

That complaint file focus on movies that Sony has been producing. Here are a few comments:

* Seems like we just reboot old product instead of coming up with new ideas like the Hunger Games.

* There is a general "blah-ness" to the films we produce.

* We continue to be saddled with the mundane, formulaic Adam Sandler films.

* Stop making the same, safe, soul-less movies and TV shows.

There are also comments about the "Spider-Man" and "Men in Black franchises:

* Are you aware that Men In Black 3 may gross $600M at the box office, and yet will lose money for SPE? Shouldn't we question that strategy? Why are some studios making Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Twilight - and we are considering movies like Moneyball, Steve Jobs story, Captain Phillips Story, Evel Knievel story, etc. Are you aware that SPE only has 1 franchise - Spiderman. Yet, it took 5 years to generate a sequel? Spidey 3 was released in summer 2007, #4 in 2012. Don't harry potters come out over 2-3 years?

* Are you aware that SPE has only 1 franchise - Spidey? Yet we waited 5 years after Spidey 3 (2007) to release #4? Have you read the SEC annual report? Disney will make $300M on Spidey merchandise this year alone. We won't!

So internal Sony employees feel precisely the same as everyone else on the planet? Surprising news.

But then what more can you expect from the company/studio that needlessly rebooted Spiderman into a clone of the first Raimi film and then instead of pulling a Spiderman 2 ran the franchise into the ground.

This is from the same company that was installing rootkits from their optical discs.

Smart move here: liquidate SPE, sell off all the furnishings, give Marvel Spiderman back, and tell Adam Sandler to go make his juvenile, asinine and insipid sh*t from Kickstarter campaigns.

Sony has nothing. They have virtually no franchises worth a damn. Spiderman was in fact all they had, and they ruined even that, which is quite the success. Even MGM has a superior catalog at this point.

Or hey, here's an idea: adapt Playstation games to movies. lol.

"New ideas like The Hunger Games..." - and that shows why you work at Sony. Because Hunger Games is as far from a new idea as you can get.

f*cking cretins.

Sony is full of morons and they deserve all the hacking they get. f*ckers use Cinavia audio protection on their DVDs/Blu-Ray's amongst other anti-consumer bullsh*t.

f*ck them right in the ass!

I guess these guys never heard about the "Battle Royale" argument with "Hunger Games". LOL Sony is kind of pathetic though. And also, they want to be Lionsgate? LOL They do realize that 'Hunger Games" is like the only franchise they have right? You want to be that? No you want to change things around, stop trying to be part of the trend. When Sony did the original Spider-Man, it was artistic. They didn't know if it would sell as well as it did! That is the problem with these studios. They can only do one big franchise based off some YA piece of sh*t, but artistically they have failed lately.
