Sylvester Stallone Discusses "The Expendables 4" Ideas and Rating

Sylvester Stallone Discusses "The Expendables 4" Ideas and RatingSubmit Comment
"The Expendables 3" hit theaters earlier this year and went on to gross only $39 million domestically, making the film a complete flop. But thanks to international box office, the third installment ended up with a worldwide gross of $206 million, the lowest in the franchise.

Now that Sylvester Stallone is promoting the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release of the movie, he said that if a fourth film happens, it will definitely be R-rated. "Absolutely unequivocally yes," he confirmed. "I believe it was a horrible miscalculation on everyone's part in trying to reach a wider audience, but in doing such, diminish the violence that the audience expects. I'm quite certain it won't happen again."

Stallone went on to hint that "The Expendables 4" has a good chance of getting made. "I have actually entertained the idea of putting the group into such an unnatural environment that it, in an of itself, creates extra suspense and tension: the "fish out of water" scenario. That environment might not be time travel, but nearly just as jarring."

I have an idea...don't make another one!

Sly had his chance with Mel to make it R but even so, the story was so redundant and the thought to make another one doesn't give me the feeling that he would repair the damages.

Too bloody late.

Well of course he is. The third film made less than the previous two, even after factoring in piracy.

LMAO. Hilarious. f*cker ruins the film series with laughable cgi instead of R-rated violence, which pissed off all the already-dwindling fans he had, and now he's not only blaming others instead of just himself, but claiming that if we give him another chance, he'll do the right thing. This time.

f*ck. You.

I love the 80s action movies, but they are very dated and very part of what made the 80s the 80s, so I agree with a lot of the comments on how this "gimmick" movie run by Sly has run its course.

Said it before and ill say it again!

he lost all respect by making the third Expendables pg13. I think he should just retire and go play golf.
I dont believe for one second he can redeem himself with another sequel.
