Arnold Schwarzenegger Says "Running Man" Sequel is Happening

Arnold Schwarzenegger Says "Running Man" Sequel is HappeningSubmit Comment
Even though Arnold Schwarzenegger has already done several films since his return to acting, he still plans to reprise his roles in the franchises that made him famous.

He is currently working on "Terminator Genisys" and has already read the scripts for sequels to "Twins" and "Conan." And now, Schwarzenegger claims that a sequel to "Running Man" is also in the works.

"It's an honor to be asked back after all these years, back to the franchise," he said. "This is really wild... They're doing a 'Twins' sequel, to be called 'Triplets.' I've read the first draft. There's rumblings of a new 'Running Man' movie, so it's a great honor to be asked back. [Getting in shape for these sequels] comes back to bodybuilding, I'm used to doing cardiovascular training every day. Therefore I'm still in good shape, and I can do the action and have the energy to do these movies."

I'm happy to see this guy get back in shape, but nothing he has made since his return is anything other than atrocious.

And let's be honest...Terminator Genisys won't even remotely approach Terminator 3 in terms of quality, much less T2, Twins was a comedic fluke not likely to be repeated, and Running Man is pure 80s action, incapable of being replicated by a nearly-septuagenarian Mr. f*ck'a'da'maid Bitch Tits.

Leave it alone already. Besides, without King's greatly-mangled literary input for the sequel, can they really write a compelling narrative sans Dawson and his underground warriors?

Running Man 2 will never get made, and even if by some miracle it does, it'll be just another turd in Arnie's diaper.

Even when he was in his prime, he wasn't much of a runner but now at 70 years old, come on man get real!

The Pissing Man.

The Decaying Man.

The Creaking Man.

The Shuffling Man.

Just f*cking RETIRE already!

say what you want about Arnold but you got to respect his motivation at his age.

Biz that was funny
I liked escape plan, last stand and even sabotage cause he got his revenge on his family.

But the Expendables movies was a cash grab

Gamer with Gerard Butler was already a remake of The Running Man. A sequel with Ahnuld will likely be fashioned as a reboot anyways.

Waste of time, the original has that weird 80s sci-fi vibe that makes it memorable as a product of the time period.

Much like Ahnuld's own Total Recall and also RoboCop, which were both Verhoeven films and the remakes were sh*t.

Leave it alone!

Why would anyone want to watch this when we already have "reality tv" on television now ?

This is definitely one movie that doesn't need to be reimagined.

I just can't see this working at all. However, i'd rather see this than a twins sequel.

Considering Arnie seems content to tread water with all of his older roles, maybe they can do a Commando sequel with Alyssa Milano all grown up ;)
Deaft0ne writes:

@mindriot

That might actually work if it has a tone similar to Taken as opposed to Arnie mowing down a hundred henchmen with an endless clip and never taking a hit like in the first one.

I'd prefer the korean version. At least it's hilarious.
