When I think science fiction, I think Andy Garcia.

Wait, who?

I, Robot II.

Alex GARLAND, you super-sized stooge.

You have to troll one way or another, dontcha?

If it isn't posting ten comic book movie articles from one main news story, it's the deliberate misinformation.

Has to be a troll because no one could be as stupid and incompetent as you appear.

Plot: The film follows a hundredaire internet flunkie who arranges for a young employee to spend a week at his home to test an artificially intelligent MINKOWSKI profile that the inventor has constructed.

@Deaft0ne
I don't think you could call it "I, Robot II". It's about AI and the link between human and robot relations on an almost personal/romantic level. It's freakier science fiction then "I, Robot" is what I'm saying. LOL

@Crambo - kinky is about right. With a femme-bot looking that hot, the story will likely involve her attempting to manipulate and seduce one if not both of them at the same time. And their personal feelings for her and jealousies of each other will in turn f*ck up any objective test results intended for the A.I. evaluation. Cool.

@Mr. Blonde
Well when you put it like that. LOL

Just call it A.I. 2

I'm glad Garland is using this as his directorial debut which I hope works out well for him. As he has written some great movies in the past. Strangely, I could see the inception themes of this movie as something Cronenberg could further explore i.e. a film about kinky A.I. fantasy programming in the future leading towards advancement in the sex-bot industry. As nobody love f*cking with metal parts and creating mental fantasy-gasms more than Cronenberg.

@Sleuth - cheers.

@Mr. Blonde
Cheers sir. On the off chance this is actually a great film though let's hope they don't do this f*cking love triangle. That I will toast too my friend. LOL

@Sleuth - per Wikipedia Ex Machina Plot:

"Caleb Smith (Gleeson), a programmer at an internet-‐search giant, wins a competition to spend a week at the private mountain estate of the company's brilliant and reclusive CEO, Nathan Bateman (Isaac). Upon his arrival, Caleb learns that Nathan has chosen him to be the human component in a Turing Test—charging him with evaluating the capabilities, and ultimately the consciousness, of Nathan’s latest experiment in artificial intelligence. That experiment is Ava (Alicia Vikander), an astonishing A.I. whose emotional intelligence proves more sophisticated, seductive––and more deceptive–– than the two men could have imagined".

Thus, I think a love triangle is totally in the cards. As there are primarily 3 actors involved in the secluded location. With 4 other supporting characters to get them there(helicopter pilot, secretary, office girl).

Also, Ex Machina's caption reads "To erase the line between man and machine is to obscure the line between men and gods".
Mr. Blonde writes:

And with a caption like that, I can see the billionaire trying to play God with his new creation, the young programmer playing Adam and Ava the A.I. being a construct of Eve. All that would be missing is a replicated ceiling fresco of Michelangelo's Creation of Man to make the translation literal.
