Christian Bale Confirmed For Steve Jobs Biopic, To Appear in Every Frame of the FilmSubmit Comment
After Leonardo DiCaprio dropped out of starring in Sony's Steve Jobs biopic, written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network) and directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire), the studio reached out to Christian Bale as his possible replacement.

In a new interview with Bloomberg, Sorkin confirmed that Bale has already signed on. "We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale," he said. "The role is an extremely difficult role; he has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined. There isn't a scene or frame that he's not in."

Sorkin previously said that the new movie will consist of only three scenes "that all take place in real time. Each will take place backstage before a product launch. The first one being the Mac, the second one being NeXT, after he had left Apple. And the third one being the iPod."

Sounds about right for that narcissist.

I think Bale is a damned talented actor, but do we need another Jobs movie? Does Bale look anything Jobs? Why does Jobs get more movies than Jesus Christ? Why is Danny Boyle wasting his considerable talent telling once again the story of the guy who made computers pretty little toys? Doesn't Boyle's genius have better ideas and more interesting directions to go?

Jeez, make another 28 Days Later instead if you have that much time and money to waste...

Bale will knock this out of the park but I agree with people who think this movie is not needed. I watches the last jobs movie because it was on Netflix instant, if that movie is at all true, Steve jobs was a real ass whole lol

Hey fake Mink, you ass whole looser, there are more than 3 movies about Jesus Christ!

And I thought Ashton Kutcher was the quintessential Steve Jobs.

He'll definitely fit the part physically (Bale will make sure of that) and nail his personality, but yeah how many stories can you tell of him? I mean Noah Wyle already succeeded in "Pirates of Silicon Valley" and that was a TV film! He was exceptional though! Steve Jobs even had him pull a prank with him by having Wyle pretend to be him at one of those stage performances Jobs gave to people.

how can this be considered a bio pic if its only 3 moments from his life told in real time? Thats not a bio pic. Thats just 3 events in ones long life.

I agree with fake mink.

We don't need another jobs movie. Kutcher did a damn good job. And three scenes? That sounds so gay

So the opening and closing credits will be displayed over a still image of Bale's face? The movie will never cut away from him? Really?
