Quicksilver to Return For "X-Men: Apocalypse" and Maybe Solo Film

Quicksilver to Return For "X-Men: Apocalypse" and Maybe Solo FilmSubmit Comment
One of the highlights of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" was a short scene featuring Quicksilver (Evan Peters) showing off his super ability. And now comes word from second unit director Brian Smrz that there are big plans for the character.

Smrz, who was heavily involved with the Quicksilver scene said that he'll soon return for "X-Men: Apocalypse," which will have another creative scene featuring the superhero.

"They want me to start pretty soon, on the storyboarding and stuff," he explained. "I'll be working on the next 'X-Men' for the next month or so part-time, and by the end of the year it'll be full-time... There will be another Quicksilver scene, which I'm looking forward to. That'll be fun."

Smrs went on to say that there are even talks of giving Quicksilver his own movie. "We talked about Quicksilver before," he added. "I'd love to do a Quicksilver as a solo film because there's a lot to enjoy with that character."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit theaters on May 27th, 2016.

That dude is quite gay looking...

No offense, but the purple-haired dude was good only because they ran his main sequence in slow-mo while playing a period piece of music. His actual character was useless and forgettable imo. Thus he doesn't deserve a solo film, but with audiences today, a movie about the life of a turd would do well.

How the f*ck did this "Second unit director" get away with having no vowels in his last name?!?

Oh and shut the f*ck up fake Mink!

Wow, so basically they are going to milk Quicksilver now too? This series has no shame!

I mean seriously you can't discuss the origins of the character. What are you going to do? Have two hours of him running around stealing things? A lame heist film?!

each passing day and still my thoughts haven't changed about x-men, the 90s cartoon owns, better story, better character development, better end-of-the-world scenarios, hell even their looks are still badass...oh by the way, did anyone here ever used to get those platinum x-men cards that they used to have back when the show was big? i'd like to see some real fans wave some of the best character costumed cards in these 'executives' faces and show them in that instant why it'll never be better than cartoon...oh wait i forgot, certain directors would not allow comics on set, even though they constantly change sh*t...sounds like how most book-to-film translations are these days

@synthetic1985
Haven't you figured it out man? Singer doesn't care about making a great X-Men movie. He just wants to use the X-Men to make his movies. I mean how he went from X2 to DOFP is anyone's guess but that movie didn't warrant a 91%. Maybe high 70% but that film had a lot of bullsh*t thrown in to make it. It was fine in the sense it fixed X3 but otherwise it kind of just will go down as just being there. That honest trailer Papillion put up on the Avengers trailer says it all. Check it out.

Avengers trailer article*

DoFP is as good as the first film but not better than X2.

Honest Trailers make every movie look stupid because they point out the formula and flaws and tropes and cliches that nearly all films adhere to.

The plot holes, plot twists, red herrings, and maguffins. Of course it's hilarious but The Avengers falls into the same traps as well. Etc., and so on and so on.

Yeah but come on man, JLaw hate aside, you have to admit Mystique's character arc was idiotic. Literally everyone tells her not to kill Trask, gives her every reason, and common sense backs it up, yet it takes the predictable last minute change of heart, basically reiterating what everyone was telling her the whole movie, to stop.
Sleuth1989 writes:

Not saying the movie didn't have it's great moments but when the whole movie hinges on that single character and they just drag it along instead of evolving upon it then you can see why this honest trailer makes a good point. At least Avengers had all the characters evolve in it's film. Only Xavier saw his character change and it was just into the guy we know he'll become.

They are going to create X-Men burnout from all these conjecture projects they plan to do.

@Sleuth

After Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine were such unmitigated pieces of sh*t, First Class and The Wolverine were very cleansing warm-ups to the pure specimen of thrilling cinema that is Days of Future Past.
Sleuth1989 writes:

@Deaft0ne
First Class was great but dead again they evolved the characters. DOFP was fun yes but it just stretched itself out too thin. Wolverine was in between. Solid character arc but stop and go again, much of what made DOFP stall at times.

And compared to Last Stand and Origins anything would look magnificent. LOL

They should just give it up and throw in the towel. They did all those damn reshoots and changed the script to capitalize on JLaw's star power. They pushed Sookie to the side like yesterday's news probably because we've already seen her titties and more on True Blood. Then JLaw had to kick in with her superwhoring and broadcast her titties for the whole internet. It's all over I say. We've already seen all the titties.

You just know that goofy looking purple haired bastard had to take it in the ass from Singer to get that part. I can see it in his little damaged eyes through his little damaged goggles.
