Melissa McCarthy Discusses "Ghostbusters" Reboot

Melissa McCarthy Discusses "Ghostbusters" RebootSubmit Comment
When it was announced that Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) will be directing the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot and that it will focus on a female team, it was immediately assumed that Melissa McCarthy would be one of the Ghostbusters.

McCarthy is not only one of the most successful comediennes in Hollywood today, but she has done a total of three films with Feig. So if anyone is going to be cast in the "Ghostbusters" reboot, it will likely be McCarthy.

The actress recently appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where she revealed that she has yet to be cast. The other guest on the show, Lena Dunham, explained how important the "Ghostbusters" reboot is to Hollywood actresses. "I have to say, since I've heard that rumor, I think every lady in town who fancies herself a jokester wants in."

McCarthy currently co-stars with Bill Murray in "St. Vincent." Not long ago, Murray said that McCarthy belongs in the reboot, adding such other names as Kristen Wiig and Emma Stone.

Meanwhile, Feig is struggling with casting, stating: "There are so many ways I can go with this, because there are so many funny women. That's going to be the hardest thing to narrow down is who to put in. I've got a lot of ideas on that but nobody set in stone."

I love how Hollywood is ruining pretty much every movie these days in one way or another, This time they're taking a modern classic starring four men and rebooting it as some Bridemaids bullsh*t meets The Frighteners.

I hope it f*cking bombs so hard Curiosity hears the boom on Mars.

f*cking faggots.

The Ernie Hudson comments still hold. An all female Ghostbusters is a gimmick and a bad idea. Heck, now it's getting flat out ridiculous with these latest rumors!

Just do a 21 Jump Street on it already! Christ, hiring Seth McFarlane to write and direct would be a better idea at this point.

Had a dream last night that I was watching a remake of Ferris Bueller's Day Off with Glenn Howerton as Ferris Bueller, Clark Gregg as Edward Rooney, Melissa McCarthy as Grace the Receptionist, and Jorma Taccone as Cameron Fry.

Ben Stein still reprised his role as the teacher giving roll call in class.

CHARLIES ANGELS fighting ghosts. Bill Murray will show up to sling his sh*t.

I will wait for BluRay. f*ck you, Columbia/Sony.

Still...Akroyd can f*ck off...he's a huge yawn for me. BASSOMATIC was his peak.....hehe

She's Roseanne Barr without all the shrill, nasal voice. That doesn't mean that I care for her on screen and I don't necessarily funny.

But if she can salvage this travesty so Ackroyd can jump into a higher mound of money in his secret vault and shill out more cheap Russian moonshine in crystal skulls - more power to her.

By the way, Ackroyd - the wrong Blues Brother died.
