French Theaters Cancel "Annabelle" Screenings Due to Damage Caused by TeenagersSubmit Comment
Movie theaters have been forced to cancel screenings of such horror films as "Paranormal Activity" and "Sinister" due to awful behavior of young audience members who disrupt the screening and damage the theater.

The same thing just happened during showings of "Annabelle," the prequel of "The Conjuring." Several French theaters are now refusing to show the film after teenagers began fighting, throwing popcorn and even ripping up theater seats.

Les 3 Palmes theater, which has 450 seats, revealed that more than a thousand people attended the screening of "Annabelle" last Saturday. "Some didn't have the most elementary notion of how to behave," theater owner explained. "They were throwing popcorn and talking at the top of their voices or walking round. It's not up to me to teach young people how to respect the law."

Film critic Alain Grasset added: "It's a very young audience, for whom the screening is a time to let loose. They go to see it as a joke, but it's a pretext to go a little wild."

@Jokoko

Because Im pointing out fact?! I work for a French company, 80% of the staff being French are rude and arrogant, so I'm merely stating a fact from my observation.

Old news.

Also, these idiots wouldn't have this problem if they stopped selling over a thousand tickets to a show with only 450 or so seats. f*cking idiots

usually people get kicked out or security gets called...it might not be his place to teach teenagers how to respect the law, but well, sh*t happens...when those teens want law and order in their establishment in their later lives, they'll soon understand what it means to endure the same sh*t

So in other words they do the same thing as when you expose African American audiences to a Tyler Perry movie - what's the surprise ?
