First Look at Chris Hemsworth in Ron HowardSubmit Comment
Back in 2009, it was announced that Edward Zwick (Blood Diamond) will direct "Heart of the Sea" survival film. Over the last 5 years, Ron Howard replaced him and cast Chris Hemsworth (Thor) to star. And now, we have the first photos from the movie. Check them out below.

The story is based on an 1820 event, in which a whaling ship called the Essex was preyed upon by a sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home. The tale was the inspiration for Herman Melville's "Moby Dick."

"Heart of the Sea" co-stars Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Benjamin Walker and Ben Whishaw as Herman Melville. It's set to hit theaters on March 13th, 2015.

Meh.

I absolutely loathe Ron Howard. Every film of his, which usually involves a decent topic, is ruined by a boring script and lackluster acting. Haven't seen one of his films that isn't true to this description.

Really, how do you ruin a movie about a mathematical genius, or one about the moon shot, or another about a global religious conspiracy? That takes some real talent imo.

More of this guy talking from his anus.^

Aside from The Da Vinci Choad films and a couple others, Ron Howard films are very good. This looks interesting and it's good it finally got made.

No one cares what fake 'Minkowski' the boring twat thinks.

@Deaftone: thanks for your follow ups on the Ed Norton thread. Much appreciated. It seems Ed has been a difficult actor to work with on AM-X and The Incredible Hulk. So much so that Marvel didn't want him back for The Avengers. Too bad, I liked him as Banner and he would have further added his charisma to the star ensemble. Imagine the same dialogue exchanges between RDJ and Norton (instead of Ruffalo). But at the same time, still glad Ruffalo was given a chance to shine.

Yes, I agree Ron Howard has made some great films Apollo 13, Willow, Backdraft, The Paper, Parenthood and Ransom (I think his personal best). Heart of the Sea looks decent with a well rounded cast.

Why doesn't someone actually ask Mink directly if it is actually him? His posts in regards of grammar, humour and generally everything seems consistent; so how/why would someone fake that? If Alex really wanted to keep website hits up, why not create new, different accounts. Bunch of uneducated morons on here.

If Mink were to communicate like Groot I would probably take more notice of him.
